Smile Seattle!
On the last day of the YES+ workshop spanning October 6th through 11th, YES+ grads decided to visit Pike Place Market and share the power of smiling and yoga with tourists and Seattleites alike hanging out at the Totem Pole park above highway 99 overlooking the Elliott Bay. The weather was beautiful and the smiles were galore. The team felt inspired to speak to everyone and attracted attention by holding challenging postures while smiling, laughing, and having a great time! People said things like: “That is why they do yoga! Now I get it!”
Upon return to the classroom the graduates of YES+ shared how energized and inspired they felt from sharing something as simple as a smile with the crowd at Pike Place. Some mentioned that it was their first time going talking to “strangers” on the street and they were amazed how easy it was to ask people to smile on camera to promote “Stress Free – Violence Free America”.
You can see some of the photos they took here: http://picasaweb.google.com/takeabreathseattle/SmileSeattle?feat=directlink#
Enjoy!

The team of Art of Living Yoga and Service Club attended the club fair at Seattle University on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. The sun was shining, students were smiling and dancing to the music. Lots of people stopped by the club’s table to pick up a flyer and get their smile picture taken. (A few have been posted on the site’s smile tab.) The energy was very lively and students were excited to get the new school year going with academic and social activities galore available to them. Thanks to all who participated in Smile Seattle!
